Who doesn't love a good Freebie or two? These are projects that Merry has written, photographed and/or drawn graphics for, and is ready to share with you. We just require you to print them "as is" with full credit given to the hard-working author/designer/graphic person (that would be me!). Oh, and no selling the patterns, OK?
Thanks very much for your cooperation! Enjoy!
20-Minute Checkbook Cover
Honest to Pete, you can really make one of these in only about 20 minutes! It has two inside pockets for your checks and check register, too.
Quick, easy, uses Scraps. How much better can it get than this? These are really great as "Secret Santa" gifts, or just little Thank You gifts for that special someone.
Another Quickie! (project, that is!) If you can find a clear report cover, you can make this! Don't have plastic to make your template sheets? Use freezer paper instead!
The photo may be small, but this block sure isn't! It's a 24" square block, and boy does it use up some scraps! Once you have made one block, more ideas and yardages are provided so you can make it bigger, all the way up to a Queen Size Quilt!
Here is a fun little (2" by 3" when folded) project that you can make in a jiffy! A couple of scraps of fabric, a piece of scrap paper, a little bit of felt, and a piece of ribbon. One seam. Oh, and don't forget the glue stick! Easy peazy!
Start with a nice quality tea towel that measures about 20" wide by about 28" long. Wash it to shrink it. Then find a 2-yard piece of 1" wide grosgrain (or double sided satin) ribbon, and an optional 1/4 yard of fabric (for the pockets). We added some cool machine embroidery from Urban Threads before we made the apron, but you don't have to do that. So get as fancy, or un-fancy (is that a word??) as you want. Bottom line is that you won't be afraid to get cake batter or spaghetti sauce on THIS apron!

Yes, we would earn a commission from anyone who clicks on the links for the FatCow & Keep&Share offers and follows through on them, but so far no one has done that, so it's OK. We just like the ads.
